About Me:
My mom used to say that "a truly lazy person, tries to do things right the first time, so they do not have to do it again".
Since I am lazy, I learned to love reading, because of my mom! This website is an reason (excuse) to read more, so that I can write editorials that may help other lazy people.
Prism News is a type of  "competitive intelligence" site that attempts to take an article (or piece of news), to see how it might effect localvores and sustainable technology.  Light exits a prism as different colors, hopefully this website will show how news can be different than what is first perceived, as well.
The last time I had a full web site was "Piper Creations"
http://thepiedpiper.tripod.com/EdFalseAdvertising.html, so having a blog is a bit of a learning curve. Comments and critics to my writing style are welcome. This site may have cookies from Weebly, Google Adsense and maybe other cookies, just a heads up for those that may want to indulge in flames.

Some Background:
My true interests are in advertising, competitive intelligence, propaganda and technical writing. I grew up in Missouri (The Show Me State), next to Lambert Field and McDonnell Douglas, which led to an intrest in outer space and what was considered science fiction, in that time.

Litmus Test:
The information on this site will attempt to show both sides of the story and the litmus test that that I use is:
  1. how something effects Acidophilus (probiotics)
  2. is it beneficial / profitable (not necessarily economically) in the long term
  3. is it sustainable - environmentally and economically

Animal Groups:
Many seem to guilt people into going to heroic efforts for animals, which may not help the animals quality of life or the caretakers of those animals. There are some of the animal groups that protest how animals are housed, but in their avocation of heroic efforts and some of the animal care / housing they advocate as being beneficial, they support the very chemical companies (and those standards) that they are protesting against.

Since at least 2003 animal groups / rescues have imported animals for pets. (US News link) Many have been animals too young to have their first immunizations and some have brought diseases and rabies to areas of the US that have not seen rabies for years. The groups have done write ups about commercial pet stores, while they become brokers of animals without the over-sight that commercial pet stores or commercial animal breeders have had. Instead of supporting local animal shelters adopting older dogs by helping people learn basic obedience training, they have become brokers, importing puppies from other states and other countries.

I believe that animals and probiotics from animal manure are a part of an organic farm. Animal groups seem to be trying to have livestock animals classified as pets. This is detrimental to the farm, since if you sell an animal and the person sees that animal as a pet, you can have the same classification as a pet store. I will be expanding on this in later posts.

Other Topics:
Like my original site, I will be covering many subjects and if there is something that you would like me to study, please ask.
